Appearing at the Vietnam Online Business Forum 2022 (VOBF), Mr. Loic Gautier – CEO of Leflair Group (LFG) – had interesting sharings about connections to boost business on the platform. e-commerce platform, to promote the post-pandemic economy and the opportunity to master the flat world through ecosystems like LFG.

– The Business Overview report on e-commerce floors in the first half of 2022 from Metric.vn evaluates e-commerce as an opportunity to promote economic recovery after the pandemic. How do you rate this?

– We also have high appreciation for the potential of the Vietnamese market in the context that Vietnam’s e-commerce in the post-Covid-19 era is on the rise. According to the general assessment, the retail market in Southeast Asia has a high growth rate, up to 6%/year despite the pandemic, reaching about 130 billion USD /year in revenue.

Three emerging markets Vietnam, Indonesia and the Philippines have the advantage of a young population and a high demand for showing a lifestyle. These are also the markets with the highest growth rates in the region, in which Vietnam is the second largest e-commerce market in Southeast Asia, after Indonesia.

Besides, the luxury goods market is a fertile ground for many foreign brands. Specifically, luxury goods in Vietnam in 2020 will reach nearly 1 billion USD and are expected to grow at a compound annual rate of more than 9% over the next 5 years, according to Statista data.
